We believe that science should be accessible to everyone. That is why we are dedicated to reaching out beyond the scientific community and engaging with society. Through our outreach efforts, we translate scientific findings to broader audiences, aiming to inspire curiosity, spark interest, and share the excitement of scientific discovery. By addressing emergent societal challenges, we promote understanding and encourage public engagement in evolutionary biology.
In the Science News blog of the SMNS, we bridge the gap between complex scientific research and everyday understanding. Here, we translate our latest manuscripts and research findings into clear, accessible language that everyone can understand. Through this platform, we hope to inspire curiosity, foster a deeper appreciation for science, and highlight how our research addresses pressing societal challenges.
Our research group values interdisciplinary collaboration and the unique insights that can emerge when science intersects with art. We have had the privilege of working closely with choreographer Léonard Engel on innovative projects that explore the fascinating concepts of mimicry, evolution, and the human body. As scientific consultants, we provided expertise that enriched the artistic process and brought a new dimension to these performances.
