I am a biologist interested in ecology and evolution of commercially exploited aquatic species, and in applying my findings into conservation and management measures. I have been focusing mostly on Brazilian biodiversity, both in freshwater environments, such as the Amazon Forest, and marine, including reefs, coast, mangroves, estuaries and oceanic islands. Currently, I am a postdoc at LMU, using whole-genome sequencing techniques to investigate the recent demographic history of a Brazilian sardine.
